All-on-4 · Teeth in a Day

All-on-4 implants, a full smile on four posts.

All-on-4 is a full arch of teeth permanently attached to your jaw by four implants. When teeth are missing or failing, it can replace them without a denture, and often in a single day.

All-on-4 may help if you

Are facing a full set of missing or failing teeth.

  • Have most or all teeth missing
  • Have teeth that need to be removed
  • Wear a denture that slips or rubs
  • Were told you lack bone for implants
  • Want fixed teeth, not removable ones

Low on bone? All-on-4 implants are angled to use the bone you have, often avoiding grafts.

Why All-on-4

Fewer implants, none of the slipping.

Dentures can be uncomfortable, and replacing every tooth with its own implant can be costly. All-on-4 sits in between.

  • Costs less than individual implants

Four implants support the whole arch, so you don’t need a separate implant for every missing tooth.

  • Helps preserve your jawbone

Dentures can speed up bone loss. Implants stimulate the jaw and help keep the bone you have.

  • Doesn’t rub or slip

Your teeth are held by implants, not your gums, so there are no sore spots and nothing shifts when you talk or laugh.

  • Eat a fuller, healthier diet

Implants handle much more force than dentures, giving you a stronger bite for the foods you’ve been avoiding.

Teeth in a Day

Often no grafts, and no long wait.

With traditional implants, bone loss in the upper or lower jaw can mean a sinus lift or bone graft, and about six months of healing. All-on-4 implants are positioned and joined in a special way that often avoids both.

Also called a hybrid denture or Teeth in a Day. Some patients need more than four implants.

  • Implants and teeth delivered the same day
  • Often no sinus lift needed
  • Often no bone graft surgery
  • Two implants in front, two in back
  • Sedation available during surgery
  • Teeth customized to your face and smile

  2. Anesthesia, and sedation if you’d like

You’ll be given anesthesia. Depending on your wishes and our recommendation, you may also be sedated.

  3. Preparing your mouth

We remove any remaining failing teeth along with diseased or infected tissue from your jaw and gums.

  4. Placing the four implants

Small titanium posts go into the jawbone, usually two toward the front and two toward the back, to anchor your new teeth.

  5. Rest, and leave with teeth

The site is closed, you wake from anesthesia, and your new set of teeth is attached.

All-on-4 FAQ

Have another question about All-on-4 implants? Call us and we’ll be glad to help.

What is All-on-4?
All-on-4 is the trademark name for a full arch of teeth permanently attached to the jaw by four implants. It’s also called a hybrid denture or Teeth in a Day.
Can I really get teeth in one day?
Often, yes. Because the implants are positioned and joined in a special way, many patients receive their implants and new teeth on the same day.
I was told I don’t have enough bone. Can I still get All-on-4?
Many patients can. Traditional implants may need a sinus lift or bone graft with about six months of healing. All-on-4 implants are angled to use existing bone, often avoiding both.
Is it always exactly four implants?
Not always. Four is typical, but some patients need more for the best support. We’ll recommend the right number for you.
How is All-on-4 better than dentures?
Your teeth are fixed to implants, so they don’t slip or rub. Implants also help preserve your jawbone and give you a much stronger bite than a denture.
How much does All-on-4 cost?
Cost varies with each situation. It’s generally less than replacing every tooth with its own implant. We’ll give you a clear estimate at your consultation.
Are there risks?
Like any implant procedure, All-on-4 carries some risks, including implant failure. Generally, patients who get All-on-4 are very satisfied with their new teeth.
